TONTTU

Everything goes wrong when TONTTU and Santa Claus are starting their journey of sharing presents to children during Christmas. Rudolf the Reindeer's harness snaps broken and the sled falls down to the woods. Santa is fainted in a snow drift and TONTTU is not strong enough to help him out. TONTTU has to collect all the fallen gifts before they get snowed up...

HOW TO PLAY

There are different kinds of assignments you have to go through by observing the hints that are shown before each part starts.

There are 3 levels in the game, each with a different objective. Try to complete the game as flawlessly as possible to receive a good high score!

If you're up for a bonus challenge, try to find TONTTU's lost elf hat. Can you find it? Good luck!

CONTROLS

The game can be played with the keyboard or a gamepad. Use arrow keys to control the character. See in-game menu for more info.

The game supports Xbox 360 controllers only. Consider using a controller emulator for non-supported gamepads.

DEVELOPMENT

TONTTU ("TOMTE") was originally developed and released in 2007. Some optimizations and a gamepad support were added in 2022.

The game took part in a Finnish game creation competition held by Pelisivut.org for Christmas 2007. The game placed 1st!

The game was created with a legacy game engine called CoolBasic. The engine was already outdated technology-wise when the development of the game began.

PERFORMANCE

The game was originally created for DirectX 7.0 (DirectDraw). Consider running the game in compatibility mode or using a third-party wrapper to enhance the game performance if needed.
